MICHELLE
Michelle first became interested in fitness and physical movement because of her dance background. She received a BFA in Dance Performance from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. While dancing, she began teaching group fitness classes to children. Her fitness career began to evolve after she herniated two discs in her lumbar spine while dancing. Throughout her recovery process she worked with Physical Therapists who stressed the importance of gaining strength through functional movement and weight training. Having experienced the benefits of weight lifting she became passionate to share the life changing effects of gaining strength and focusing on functional movement. She teaches her clients how to maintain healthy and pain free lives by focusing on proper form and technique while reaching their fitness goals. Michelle has continued to grow her education in the field by becoming a certified StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor and is currently working toward a degree in Human Biology.
